Hello Polk Nation! I am excited about working with the great students, staff, and community at Ted Polk Middle School.  I have been working in CFB since 2006 serving as a Science teacher, coach, and Assistant Principal. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Cornell College, teaching certification through Texas Tech, and my Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University.  I am looking forward to working at Polk to help all students be college ready, career ready, and future leaders.

I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. I served in the United States Army for eight years. After leaving the military, I discovered my passion for education. I have worked as a 7th and 8th grade math teacher. Later, I became an Instructional Dean & served as Assistant Principal of summer school at Creekview High School. I have a bachelor's degree in middle-level Education with a concentration in Math and Science from Georgia State University. I also have a master's degree in Educational Leadership and Policy from Boston College. I believe in creating a culturally competent and socially just environment. I am excited for the upcoming school year.
